Cooling off at Mahi usually involves a dose of fresh salt air, a nice sea breeze (and a cocktail or two)...

Last week we took cooling off to another level with the #IceBucketChallenge.

If you haven't seen or heard about the #IceBucketChallenge, where have you been the last couple weeks? In honor of north shore native Pete Frates, the challenge has beenstorming social media bringing awareness to ALS. If you haven't already, get in on the fun, learn a little more about this disease - and do what you can to help #StrikeOutALS!

The #IceBucketChallenge to #StrikeoutALS

Incase you missed it, here's the Mahi crew stepping up to the plate for the #IceBucketChallenge to #StrikeoutALS, in honor of Pete Frates.  We're honored to be nominated by TSH Catering, and have nominated Longboards, the Lynch/Van Otterloo YMCA and The Schooner Fame to do the same - or donate to the cause within 24 hours!

This challenge was a lot of fun - and certainly has been a fantastic way to spread some knowledge about this disease, but let's not forget the end game here: finding a cure!  Whether you know Pete and his family, know someone fighting ALS - or not, we hope you'll take the time to learn more about why all these crazy people are dumping ice over their heads. Learn more and contribute to the cause here.
